Curated Reports

The community selects external research and papers, typically long-form analysis of anonymity networks, networked freedom, and digital authoritarianism, and translates them into Traditional Chinese with annotations and local context.

Translations are maintained in Traditional Chinese (zh-TW) only

For each curated report below, we link to the original English source and to our Traditional Chinese (zh-TW) translation. The zh-TW translation uses Taiwan terminology, and where relevant we add editorial observations from a Taiwan vantage point (for example, how a report has been received by local media, government, or legislators).

If you read English, the original report is the primary source. The zh-TW translation is intended for Chinese-speaking readers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and other regions that use Traditional Chinese. Some of the editorial observations may also be useful to international readers who want to understand how a report has been received on the ground in Taiwan. A separate English version of these long-form translations is not maintained.
